Security vacuum in rebels-held areas: unknown person found dead north-west of Idlib

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources say that the body of a person was found after being shot and dumped in Harem area in north-western Idlib.

On March 24, SOHR sources reported that a commander of “Saraqeb Rebels Front” was wounded this evening, after being shot by unidentified gunmen who tried to kidnap him in Idlib city but he managed to resist them and escape, while the gunmen stole his car and fled.

On March 18, reliable sources informed SOHR that masked members attempted to arrest a member in the opposition factions, who specializes in “TOW missiles” using, in city center of Idlib. The member showed resistance during the arrest, while masked men shot him injuring his foot.

Furthermore, activists have accused members of HTS security forces of attempting to arrest him. However, the Syrian Observatory has not yet verified the accusations.
