Opposition factions respond to regime’s shelling targeting Saraqeb city

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening artillery shelling by regime forces stationed in Saraqeb city, targeting Afis town and the villages of Jabal al-Zawiya in rural Idlib.

In the meantime, opposition factions stationed near Turkish posts have shelled regime forces’ concentrations in Saraqeb city.  No casualties have been reported yet.

Syrian Observatory sources reported earlier that regime forces carried out rocket attacks targeting places in Afes village in Saraqeb countryside, east of Idlib, and other areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in south Idlib countryside.

On the other hand, two regime soldiers were confirmed dead after being shot by the factions’ snipers on frontlines of Al-Fatira in Jabal Al-Zawiyah.

SOHR activists monitored earlier this morning tense calm prevailing throughout the area of “Putin – Erdogan” as the new ceasefire enters its 26th consecutive day. Meanwhile, regime and Russian aerial operations have been suspended completely.
