Unknown explosion in rural Daraa kills regime soldier 

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activist have reported hearing a violent explosion in the town of Nafa’a in rural Daraa, caused by an improvised explosive device exploded near the military security detachment.

It is not known whether an IED was planted by local factions in the area or an explosion of unexploded ordnance. The explosion left a regime soldier dead and others were injured. Security forces were on high alert after the incident and the roads in the area were closed.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 381 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 226 persons, 47 of whom are civilians, including five women and four children, in addition to 118 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

41 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 17 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
