Regime forces renew shelling areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, while rebels and jihadists bring in new military reinforcement

As the new ceasefire in the “de-escalation zone” entered its 28th consecutive day, Russian and regime aerial operations have been still suspended completely. However, the area frequently experiences sporadic violations every now and then.

Syrian Observatory activists have confirmed that regime forces fired several rockets in early hours of Thursday morning, targeting the outskirts of Al-Fterah, Sfuhen and Kafr Oweid in Jabal Al-Zawiyah.

On the other hand, opposition factions and jihadi groups have brought in new military reinforcement to the area.

SOHR sources documented yesterday the killing of a fighter of the factions in regime rocket attacks on Afes frontline, east of Idlib.
