Drugs spread ‎north Aleppo and the Turkish-backed factions are the main promoters

Areas of the “Euphrates Shield” and the “Olive Branch” north of Aleppo are witnessing a huge spread of drugs and alcoholic drinks through members in the Turkish-backed factions.

It is supposed that these factions are responsible for the internal security in the area which is witnessing a breakdown in terms of security; in addition to violations by the same factions themselves against citizens, not to mention the clashes between these factions from time to time.

Local sources told the Syrian Observatory that alcoholic drinks and drugs are spreading in Afrin countryside, Azaz, and Sejju town, and they are promoted and distributed secretly by members of the factions controlling the area, especially the factions that belong to the factions of al-Hamzat, al-Sultan Murad, and al-Amshat.

The areas that are controlled by the Turkish-backed factions have several crossings like a crossing with Turkey in the north, crossings with the Kurdish forces and the regime forces in the south, crossings with the Syria Democratic Forces to the east, and crossings in the west with areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham.
