Members of opposition factions loot the town of Ma’arat al-Na’asan stealing public and private properties

SOHR sources say that members of HTS the factions looted a number of houses in the town of Ma’arat al-Na’asan in Idlib countryside, stealing motorcycles, copper cables and agricultural equipment.

One of the factions’ leader also seized a bakery owned by an organization, and dismantled it and sold it to a merchant.

The contents of the town’s clinic and medical equipment were dismantled by the factions and ambulances were stolen.

These factions also stole the contents of the local council such as furniture and equipment, taking advantage of people’s displacement from the area.

On April 3, Reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that what was left of Zayzun thermal power went up for a public auction by HTS to scrap dealers in Idlib.

On the other hand, members of the Turkistan Islamic Party are still digging and extracting metal pipes from Sahl al-Ghab area in Hama countryside near the administrative border with Idlib province.

Residents of the area have complained to HTS and the “Salvation Government”, which responded by issuing a statement condemning these actions and subsequent sabotaging of the irrigation project, which farmers rely on for watering their land.

HTS dismantled what was left of the textile factory in Idlib. No further information as to whether it was an individual act by the members or otherwise.
