Clashes between local and displaced families trigger security tensions in Jarabulus

Aleppo Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory has monitored clashes with machine guns near a camp, between families in the city of Jarabulus, following an attack with blade weapons by a group of youths from Jarabulus city on others from Deir ez-Zor. Youths from Deir ez-Zor opened fire from their machine guns, causing casualties.

The city has seen tensions between the residents of Jarabulus and families from Deir ez-Zor.

On April 5, Syrian Observatory activists reported that gunmen from Homs, who have been displaced to Al-Ra’i area in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, killed a Turkish-backed fighter in a refugee camp in Al-Ra’i. The displaced gunmen shot dead the Turkish-backed fighter after he had opened fire indiscriminately over the tents in a camp in the area, causing panic among displaced people there.
