Regime forces shell western Aleppo countryside and sporadic clashes erupt south of Idlib

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening artillery shelling by regime forces, targeting the village of Al-Qasr in western Aleppo countryside. Meanwhile, sporadic clashes with machine guns erupted between regime forces and loyalists on one side, and opposition and jihadist factions on the other, on the frontlines of Flifel and Sofhon, south of Idlib. Clashes were accompanied by artillery shelling, with extensive overflights of Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the area.

Apart from that, tense calm continues in “Putin-Erdogan” area for the 33nd consecutive day of the new ceasefire.

Regime forces stationed in the town of Saraqeb have shelled the perimeter of the Turkish observation post in the town of Sarmin, east of Idlib. No casualties were reported.

SOHR sources reported this morning that regime forces renewed rocket attacks on areas in the villages and towns of Safohen, Al-Fatira, Al-Ruwayha and Kafr Aweid in southern countryside of Idlib, and Taqed and Kafarma in western Aleppo countryside.
