Under the rule of Assad family and loyal militias, people of the Syrian coast suffer from the drugs and hashish

The cities of Latakia and Tartus are witnessing widespread trafficking in drugs and hashish, as well as the increase in the number of drug users especially in the poor neighborhoods, in which the youth have become depraved due to the availability of these substances and being continuously promoted by people with a connection to the Assad family and its Shabiha

Several members of these gangs that promote drugs get arrested, but the regime forces are unable to get near the trafficking heads and those who run it in Qardaha.

In the same context, the criminal security branch in Latakia province arrested several people of the hashish and drugs promoters in the province and seized large quantities of narcotic substances which are Captagon pills and hashish smuggled from Lebanon through members of the Lebanese “Hezbollah”, while members of the security patrols and police forces watch the families of al-Qardaha of whatever they like without having any authority to search the house or car of one of those families whose entire work is illegal and forbidden by law.

Latakia province has been witnessing lawlessness recently, where on the 13th of April 2020, the body of a man in his fifties was found lying on the beach of Arab al-Mulk.
