Regime forces renew intensive shelling on positions in Hama and Idlib

The new ceasefire in the “de-escalation zone” has entered its 51st consecutive day with full suspension of Russian and regime aerial bombardment. However, the area of “Putin – Erdogan” experiences daily violations intercepting the tense calm prevailing throughout its sectors.

SOHR activists have monitored rocket attacks carried out by regime forces in the early hours of Saturday morning, targeting places in Kansafra, Al-Bara, Banin and Kafr Oweid in the southern countryside of Idlib, and Al-Ankawi in Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama. Regime forces also targeted places in Al-Nayrab in the eastern countryside of Idlib with heavy machineguns.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that regime forces fired several rockets in the early hours of Friday morning, targeting places in Al-Bara and Kansafra in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, along with the flight of Russian reconnaissance drones over the area.
