Clashes erupt in al-Bab city over “trucks smuggling” dispute, with flight of Turkish f-16 jet over the area

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening clashes with machine guns between members of “Al-Hamza Division” and “Ahrar al-Sham”, near the crossings used for smuggling, east of the city of Al-Bab. Clashes erupted following a dispute between them over smuggling of trucks to regime-controlled areas, accompanied with the flight of a Turkish f-16 jet over the region.

SOHR sources just reported that a Turkish-backed military police member was killed and three others were injured as a result of renewed clashes in the city of Jarabulus, northeast of Aleppo, between an armed group from Deir ez-Zor belonging to “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” faction and military police members.

Meanwhile, tense calm returned to the area following mediation from the Turkish-backed factions.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored hours ago renewed clashes in the city of Jarabulus. The military police building in the city was attacked with machine guns by Turkish-backed factions’ members from Deir ez-Zor.
