Demographic change in NE Syria | Turkey transfers families of its proxy factions to Ras al-Ain

Turkish forces continue sending families of their proxy fighters to the “Peace Spring” areas, as part of Turkey’s policy of changing the demographics in the region.

SOHR sources say that eight buses arrived in the city of Ras al-Ain in rural Al-Hasakeh, transporting families from northern rural Aleppo, in addition to a bus transporting armed men of Turkish-backed factions.

Turkish intelligence has facilitated the passage of these buses.

On April 21, SOHR activists reported that a convoy of nearly 150 vehicles carrying displaced families from Al-Ghouta, Homs and Idlib arrived in the city of Tal Abyad, north of Raqqa. Over 500 people of Turkish-backed fighters’ families arrived from the city of Jarabulus, north of Aleppo.
