Turkish-backed factions continue looting agricultural crops in Al-Hasakah countryside

SOHR activists have confirmed that Turkish-backed factions are looting agricultural crops belonging to civilians in the villages of Bu’ayrir, Qasemiyah and Mahmoudiyah in the area between Abu Rasin (Zarkan) and Tal Tamr in rural Al-Hasakah.

These practices come as a part of violations by Turkish-backed factions against the remaining residents of these areas through stealing and looting their properties and sources of income.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that Turkish-backed factions seized wheat and agricultural crops whose owners abandoned them during the Turkish military operation “Peace Spring”.

Turkish-backed factions seized the wheat and barley fields in Rihaniya village and Daoudiyet Mala in rural Tal Tamer, Tal Baidar, Attia village, Naddas, Tal Sakher and Asdiyet Al-Izidiyyin in Ras al-Ain countryside.

Observatory sources added that these villages and areas used to be inhabited by Christians, Kurds and Arabs, while most of the population abandoned them except for a few Arabs.

The Arab families tried to take care of the fields and farms and to harvest them for their real owners, but Turkish factions took over all these properties, including those of the Arab families.
