Al-Rukban camp crises | Bad weather deepens the suffering of Syrian refugees in the forgotten camp on Syria-Jordan border

Bad weather conditions in the Syrian Badia area have exacerbated the suffering of the residents of Al-Rukban camp, on Iraq-Syria-Jordan border, after the sandstorm that hit the area and lasted about three hours.

The sandstorm affected asthma patients, particularly with the lack of “Ventolin” in medical centers, which is used in cases of spasm of the smooth bronchodilator muscles in the lungs, suffered by asthmatics and chronic bronchitis patients.

The storm did not cause deaths and its impact was limited to material damage, as some tents were blown away and the walls of a number of mud houses in the camp were demolished.
