ISIS resurgence | Cells attacks regime forces and loyalists’ positions, south of Deir ez-Zor

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this morning an attack by Islamic State members on the positions of regime forces and loyalists, in the areas of Al-Shula and Kabajib, south of Deir ez-Zor city. No casualties have been reported.

On May 7, SOHR reliable sources reported that ISIS unleashed new attack targeting military vehicles affiliated to regime forces and loyal militias in an area between Al-Sukhnah and Al-Shawlah on administrative border between Deir Ezzor and Homs. The attack left many casualties. SOHR activists documented 11 fatalities in the ranks of regime forces and loyalists, including officers.
