“De-escalation zone” | Violations continue in southern Idlib as new ceasefire enters its 70th day

Syrian Observatory activists have confirmed that regime forces renewed rocket attacks in the early hours of Thursday morning, targeting places in Fulayfel and Sfuhen villages in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, reconnaissance drones were monitored glying over Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama.

Otherwise, tense calm is prevailing throughout the “de-escalation zone” on the 70th consecutive day of the new ceasefire in the area.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that exchange of fire with heave and medium machineguns erupted between regime forces and opposition factions in Hazarin in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled places in Kabani area in Jabal Al-Akrad.
