Rural Afrin | Violations continue against Kurdish farmers, and Turkish-backed factions storm village arresting four shepherds

On 12 May, SOHR sources reported that a group of members of “Al-Sham Corps” stormed the village of Deir Baloot, arresting three Kurdish and an Arab civilians.

Civilians were taken to the factions prisons in the village of Iska in Jandiras district.

On the other hand, Turkish-backed factions continue their violations against the Kurds. The Syrian Observatory sources have reported that members of Turkish-backed factions are renting olive groves and grapes belonging to Kurdish farmers in the village of Midan Ekbis, to the shepherds of displaced Arab people in the area. The shepherds are carrying weapons while grazing sheep.

On May 11, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that an armed group of Turkish-backed “Al-Hamzat Division” arrested the headman Shoraba in Ma’abatli area in rural Afrin in north-west Aleppo, along with three other civilians, for “dealing” with “Self-Administration” before.

 Meanwhile, the armed group has stormed houses in the village, searching for other people.
