Deir Ezzor | Unknown gunmen attack regime positions at river crossing with SDF-held areas

Reliable sources have told the Syrian Observatory that unknown gunmen attacked regime positions on the bank of Euphrates river in Baqrus town using machineguns and RPGs. These positions are crossings used for smuggling goods to SDF-held areas on the other bank of the river in Al-Shuhayl town, east of Deir Ezzor.

On April 23, SOHR activists reported that Syria Democratic Forces, backed by International Coalition air support, raided river crossings used for smuggling goods and people from SDF-held areas to regime-held areas on the other side of Euphrates river.

The raid targeted river crossings in Al-Shuhayl and Theban towns in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where SDF opened fire on the ferries there in order to sabotage them.
