Crime in Al-Sweida | Locals find civilian dead in his home

SOHR sources say that locals found the body of a young man today shot in the head at his home, east of Al-Thala roundabout in Al-Sweida city, without knowing the reasons and motives for his death.

On May 14, SOHR activists reported that gunmen from Al-Sweida province stole nearly 250 sheep belonging to a civilian in Salkhad town. The gunmen assaulted the shepherd and several young men were working with him.

On May 12, SOHR sources reported that unidentified gunmen tried to kidnap a civilian from Al-Sweida province. The gunmen opened fire him, causing him several injuries. However, the man managed to escape.

The gunmen have blocked the road between al-Dur village and Al-Mazra’a town in western countryside of Al-Sweida, and fled through agricultural roads after their failed attempt.
