Tal Abyad | Nearly 15 fighters of “National Army” killed in failed infiltration into SDF positions

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a group affiliated to factions of the Turkish-backed “National Army” attempted yesterday to sneak into the SDF-controlled village of Kobralik in the western countryside of Tal Abyad in northern Al-Raqqah, using tunnels dug earlier in the area.

SDF foiled the factions’ attempt and killed all attackers whose number reached 14. The fighters’ bodies are still in the area.

On April 16, reliable sources told SOHR that two SDF members were killed during a failed infiltration attempt into a Turkish checkpoint in Bab al-Faraj near the town of Abu Rassin “Zarkan” in Al-Hasakeh countryside. SOHR sources added that the bodies of SDF members were held by Turkish-backed factions.

In the meantime, Russian forces mediated with the Turks and recover the bodies of the SDF fighters.

Observatory activists also documented the killing of seven Turkish-backed militiamen during the clashes.
