Lebanese Hezbollah’s search for remnants of fighters killed in eastern Ghouta years ago continues

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that groups of the Lebanese Hezbollah, with the help of former fighters of opposition factions who have reconciled with security services and joined regime forces, are searching for the remains of Hezbollah fighters killed in battles with the factions of eastern Ghouta in Al-Marj area in 2013.

According to SOHR sources, forces of the Lebanese Hezbollah discovered a grave with the remains of five fighters in it on the outskirts of Al-Bahariyyah town in Al-Marj area in eastern Ghouta a few days ago.

Hezbollah could recognize the identity of one of the fighters, who is from the Lebanese town of Baalbek, and delivered the fighter’s body to his family. However, the identities of the rest fighters remain unknown, while reports have suggested that these bodies belong to regime soldiers killed in earlier battles.

It is worth noting that the Lebanese Hezbollah is searching mainly for its own fighters who were killed in battles with the factions of eastern Ghouta in Al-Marj area between 2013 and 2014. The Lebanese Hezbollah participated in these battles with large numbers of fighters.
