First patrol of its kind in NW Syria | Turkish and Russian forces go beyond Ariha, reaching Uram Al-Jouz

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored Russian and Turkish forces crossing the border of Ariha city for the first time since the recent ceasefire came into effect. The patrol started from Tarnabeh village in eastern Idlib, crossed the outskirts of Ariha until it reached the vicinity of Uram Al-Jouz in rural Idlib.

Syrian Observatory activists have just reported seeing Russian and Turkish forces running a new routine joint patrol on Aleppo-Latakia international highway (M4). The patrol set off from Tarnabeh village in eastern Idlib to the outskirts of Ariha.

This is the 12th patrol to be conducted between Russian and Turkish forces on the M4 highway.

On May 14, Observatory activists reported seeing Russian and Turkish forces running a new routine joint patrol from Tarnabeh village in eastern Idlib to the outskirts of Ariha. Some people opposing the agreement between “Putin” and “Erdogan” pelted the patrol with stones.
