IED attacks in eastern Deir ez-Zor | Two consecutive explosions hit Al-Busayrah market, killing child and injuring 15 people

Deir ez-Zor governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that a child was killed and more than 15 people, including children and women, were injured in two consecutive explosions hit the market of Al-Busayrah city, east of Deir ez-Zor,

The first explosion caused by an improvised explosive device (IED). The second explosion followed as people gathered to check the human loss at the scene of the first explosion.

The second blast caused by a booby-trapped motorcycle parked near the site of the first explosion, leaving casualties.

SOHR sources reported earlier that an explosion rocked the SDF-controlled area of Hajin in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The explosion was caused by detonating an IED in a vehicle belonging to Syria Democratic Forces in the town, which injured an SDF fighter and caused material damage.

SOHR sources reported yesterday that locals found decapitated body of a young man lying near the irrigation canal in the town of Al-Shuhayl in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The victim is a former SDF fighter and he has been kidnapped with his companion by unknown gunmen, near Al-Busayrah city in Deir Ezzor countryside. The gunmen killed the victim companion that morning demanding the ex-SDF fighter’s relatives release two thieves arrested by SDF the previous day in Mashikh village in the same countryside.
