Tribal fight | Nearly ten people killed in clashes in northern Deir Ezzor

Syrian Observatory sources have reported that tension is growing in the SDF controlled village of Mashikh in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, following an armed fight between “Al-Bakeer” and “Al-Boferio” tribes.

 

According to SOHR sources, a person from Al-Bakeer tribe was shot dead by unknown gunmen yesterday, when he went out to put off the generator in front of his house. People of the victim’s tribe stormed Mashikh village today, targeting Al-Boferio tribe as there is a known rivalry between the two tribes.

 

Fierce clashes erupted between the two sides leaving eight persons of Al-Bakeer tribe dead before the attackers left the village. Unconfirmed reports suggest there are more casualties.
