“We want to live in dignity” | Tens of people demonstrate in Al-Suwaidaa city

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored tens of civilians, men and women, gathering near Al-Sayr square near Al-Suwaidaa municipality. The people held a sit-in under the name “We want to live in dignity – You oppressed us”, protesting the Syrian regime handling with the deteriorating economic hardship. This development coincides with poor living conditions, currency plunge and the rising prices of staples and essential products throughout Syria.

 

In January, Observatory sources monitored several people demonstrating in front of the Justice Palace in Al-Suwaidaa city in southern Syria. The protesters walked in streets and several areas in Al-Suwaidaa city, as part of a campaign under the name “We want to live”, which was met with popular interaction by Al-Suwaidaa residents.
