Mass demonstration | Thousands of Idlib people demonstrate on Saraqeb-Sarmin highway, demanding regime forces pull out and displaced people allowed to return

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored thousands of people from Idlib participating in a mass demonstration on Saraqeb-Sarmin highway in southern Idlib.

The protesters demanded regime forces withdraw from areas they captured during the recent military operation, and called for allowing the displaced people to return to their cities, towns and villages.

During the demonstration, the protesters lifted signboards with slogans written on them demanding freedom, justice and toppling of the Syrian regime.

According to SOHR sources, the demonstrators have divided into two groups, a group headed to the area between Sarmin and Idlib city, while the other group headed to the Turkish observation post near Saraqeb city in the east of Idlib.

The protesters also lifted flags of the Syrian revolution.

SOHR sources have just reported that civilians were flocking to Saraqeb-Sarmin highway, in order to participate in a mass demonstration demanding regime forces get out of their areas, so that the displaced people would return to their towns and village.
