Instability in rebels-held areas | IED explodes in Jisr Al-Shughur

Syrian Observatory activists have reported hearing a loud explosion in Jisr Al-Shughur city in the western countryside of Idlib. The explosion was caused by detonating an IED in a deserted house in the city’s northern alley, which caused material damage but no casualties have been reported.

This explosion comes as a part of deteriorating security chaos in areas under the control of HTS and opposition factions in Idlib province and surrounding countryside.

Two days ago, SOHR sources reported that columns of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham headed to Ariha city, following clashes with machine guns and grenades between HTS executive forces and a family from the city. Two people were killed and others injured as a result of the clashes lasted until that evening.

Meanwhile, a young man survived an assassination attempt after being shot by unidentified gunmen in a car in Isqat area, north of Salqin city.
