Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory sources have monitored fierce armed fight in Afrin city in the north-western countryside of Aleppo, between gunmen of “Al-Hamzat Division” and displaced gunmen from eastern Ghouta.

According to SOHR sources, the fight followed an attempt by a military group of “Al-Hamzat Division” to loot a shop owned by a person from Arbin area in eastern Ghouta. Al-Hamzat Division’s affiliates tried to take some foodstuffs from the shop for free, and when the salesman refused, they threw a grenade on the shop. The fight evolved to clashes with machineguns between the gunmen of eastern Ghouta backed by some members of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic movement, on one hand, and members of “Al-Hamzat Division” on the others, near the road to Raju in Afrin city.

The fight resulted in the injury of eight persons, while a gunman from eastern Ghouta was killed. Another child was also killed after being hit with an indiscriminate gunshot during the clashes.
