Blazes extend to new swathes in northern Al-Hasakah destroying more fields in rural Tal Tamr

Syrian Observatory sources have reported that new fires broke out in Tal Tamr countryside and Abu Rasin (Zarkan) in northern Al-Hasakah. The blazes have extended to farmlands in Um Al-Kaif and the village of Bab Al-Khair, Al-Assadiyyah and Um Ishbeh in the northern countryside of Tal Tamr, which caused great destruction to civilian properties. The blazes can no longer be controlled or extinguished so far.

A few days ago, SOHR activists monitored the breakout of fires west of Ras al-Ain in the area between Al-Alia and Manajir villages.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the village of Al-Dardara in Tal Tamer countryside, after being extinguished by fire brigades before it broke out again. The fire continued to spread and reached the vicinity of Abu Rasine town in Al-Hasakeh countryside.

On May 24, civil sources informed the Syrian Observatory that members of the Turkish-backed factions continued to set crops and agricultural projects on fire in countryside of Tal Tamer. Locals saw them while committing arsons in the villages of Al-Qasimiyah, Um al-Khair and other areas in countryside of Tal Tamer.

Furthermore, the fires caused  extensive damage to crops and equipment of agricultural projects, such as water extraction engines, other agricultural machinery, water tanks and civilian houses in that area.
