Blasts | Cooking gas cylinder explosions leave casualties in rural Aleppo and Idlib

SOHR sources say that a young man and a child were killed and two others injured today in the city of Jarabulus, north-east of Aleppo, as a result of a gas cylinder explosion in a restaurant in central city.

On May 31, the Syrian Observatory for Human monitored an explosion in Idlib city, as a gas cylinder exploded at a domestic gas store in the city, killing two young men and injuring three others.

On May 15, SOHR sources reported that four tents were burned down in the “Peace Camp” in the village of Sheikh Yusuf, west of Idlib city, after a fire brock out while using primitive cooking method inside the tent.

On the other hand, the fuel crisis continues in northern Syria. The price of heating oil has risen to 1,000 Syrian pounds per liter, while the gas cylinder has risen to more than 12,000 Syrian pounds.

People in north-western Syria are living in tragic situations with the absence of humanitarian organizations’ role, in addition to widespread poverty and high unemployment.
