Security chaos | Child kidnapped in Daraa province

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the growing security chaos in Daraa governorate. A 14-year-old boy was kidnapped on May 31, after leaving his home in Daniba, in the city of Izr’a, north-east of Daraa.

On May 26, the Syrian Observatory monitored an attempt to kidnap a child by unknown assailants in a car in the town of Um Walad in eastern Daraa countryside.

Meanwhile, Unknown persons had tried to kidnap a child on al-Ghariya road in the town of Khirbet Ghazala in Daraa countryside.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 488 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 322 persons, 79 of whom are civilians, including seven women and seven children.
