Arsons | Regime forces set agricultural crops on fire in Idlib, Aleppo and rural Hama

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the rise of flames and plumes of smoke in several areas in rural Idlib, Aleppo and Hama over the past few days.

According to Observatory sources, regime forces are committing these arsons as the area can be easily overseen and for fear of infiltration attempts by the opposition factions into their positions.

On the other hand, a large fire broke out in the eastern countryside of Saraqeb and areas close to the frontlines with the opposition factions.

A fire also broke out in Sahl al-Ghab area in the north-western rural Hama. Canals helped stop its spread to nearby areas.

Moreover, large fires broke out in the towns of Marshorin, Marshmarin, Talmens, Al-Ghadfa and Masaran in Ma’rat al-Numan countryside, as well as villages in the southern Idlib countryside. While in the western countryside of Aleppo, several fires broke out in Kafr Aleppo and Meeznaz after a combine harvesters was targeted while harvesting the crop near areas controlled by regime forces.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored the burning of agricultural crops in Karnaz, Latamana, Kafr Zeita, Al-Mughir, Kafr Nabouda, Hammamiyat and Zalaqiyat, to the outskirts of Murek and Lattmin in northern Hama, and villages in al-Hamra and Atshan in the eastern countryside of Hama governorate.
