After prevention of internship in hospitals | Idlib University opens the first academic and medical edifice in Salvation Government-held areas

SOHR sources have reported that Idlib University opened today the “University Hospital” in Idlib city, where scientific, revolutionary, political, medical and media bodies, officials in the “Salvation Government” and the head of the “Advisory Council” attended the opening ceremony at the invitation of the university’s administration.

 

The “University Hospital” in Idlib is the first academic and medical edifice in areas under the control of the “Salvation Government”. The hospital is also fully funded by the “Turkish Diyanet Foundation” and Bab Al-Hawa crossing which supervised the equipment of the hospital and vowed to fully support the hospital for five years.

 

This development comes after a decree issued earlier preventing the internship of medical students in hospitals affiliated to the health directorate.

 

In mid-June, SOHR sources monitored medical students of Idlib University participating a vigil in front of the building of health directorate in Idlib city, condemning the directorate’s decree preventing internship of medical students in hospitals. The students lifted signboards with slogans written on them like “We want to learn”.
