Islamic State keeps original statues after smashing the fake once

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in Menbej city in the northeast countryside of Aleppo, that the statues destroyed by the “Islamic state” three days ago in the city, and said it was found with a man who had stolen and transported them from the eastern city of Palmyra in the countryside of Homs, which lies more than 200 kilometers from the city of Menbej in the countryside of Aleppo, confirmed to be fake statues, and that IS has smashed the fake statues and kept the original statues for itself, which has been moved by IS members from Palmyra to the northeast countryside of Aleppo, in preparation for the transfer and sale them to one of Syria’s neighboring countries.

 

 

It is noted that the man who IS had “whipped” is yet to be known, which IS said he stole the artefacts and transported them to the countryside of Aleppo, whether he is a civilian or a member of the “Islamic State” .
