Al-Raqqah battle started after promises of connecting the self-management areas

Al-Raqqah Province, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
The first stage of the operation of “Al-Raqqah isolation” has started, it is being carried out by the Syria Democratic Forces with the support of the international coalition’s warplanes, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed that the first phase includes mainly the isolation of Al-Raqqah city of its eastern, western and northern countryside, in preparation for the start of the battle of controlling of the city, which is the stronghold of the “Islamic State” in Syria, also the Observatory was aware that it has been proposed to name the campaign as “Euphrates Wrath”, in response to Turkey’s naming for its campaign in the northern eastern countryside of Aleppo as “Euphrates Shield”, also the Syrian observatory for human rights received information that the Syria Democratic Forces and Kurdish forces have received promises of connect their controlled areas in al-Arima in the western countryside of Manbij to their controlled areas in the southeast of Marea, without confirmation yet whether these forces are allowed to enter al-Bab city in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo or not.

And in the same context, the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights in Al-Raqqah city have not document any movements, alert or mobilization by the “Islamic state” organization, which may indicate that the organization is preparing itself for Al-Raqqah battel, where the Syria Democratic Forces and with the support of International Coalition are trying the expel the organization out of Al-Raqqah.
