About 15 fighters were killed in clashes and explosion of an explosive belt in the countryside of Al-Raqqah and the “Islamic State” organization intensifies its counter attacks and booby trapped vehicles on locations of “Euphrates Wrath” operation

 

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources that at least 9 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces were wounded and 2 others were killed, in addition to the killing of 12 members at least of the “Islamic State” organization, in the violent clashes that took place between both parties in the area of Qadisiyyeh farm in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah city, and when a member of the organization detonated himself with an explosive belt and targeted fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces, also clashes took place between both parties in the northern countryside of al-Raqqah city, during which the Syria Democratic Forces managed to advance in the area and information about controlling Rajm al-Abyad village.

Also reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the “Islamic State” organization is following a tactic based on the intensity of the counter-attacks, especially by detonating booby trapped vehicles, which target positions of the Syria Democratic Forces and aim to disperse these forces and repel their advancement, forcing it to standstill in their place in the areas that they have advanced to so far, the organization’s adoption for this tactic came after the military operations entered its third phase which included the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah, the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor and the countryside of al-Tabaqa.
