Violent clashes continue in the desert of Palmyra and the regime forces control by firearm an oilfield

Homs Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the “Islamic State” organization intensely targeted areas in al-Masoudia village in the northeastern countryside of Homs which is controlled by the regime forces, causing material damage and leaving injuries, while the violent clashes are still taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the “Islamic State” organization on the road of Palmyra – al-Sokhna in the eastern countryside of Homs, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to advance and control by firearm the Ark oilfield in an attempt to advance towards al-Sokhna town, and the clashes are taking place between both parties in areas in the vicinity of Hwisis in the western and eastern desert of Palmyra, amid intense shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas and shelling by the warplanes on the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas and positions.
