Within 24 hours of attacks in Homs… the “Islamic State” organization kills at least 48 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them

On a more than 125 kilometers front, the “Islamic State” organization carries out successive attacks on sites of the regime forces

 

The “Islamic State” organization has caused significant casualties number in the ranks of the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationality during attacks in 24 hours, on an front extended on more than 125 km, starting from Hmimeh area on the administrative border between Homs and Deir Ezzor until the Palmyra Silos area east of Palmyra city, in the eastern desert of Homs, where the organization tries through these attacks to show its strength to its supporters, and that it is still able to carry out attacks, despite its continued decline in the provinces of Al-Raqqah, Aleppo, Homs and Hama, and the Syrian Observatory documented more casualties during these attacks, where it rose to 48 at least including 5 officers, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities who were killed within 24 hours of violent attacks by the organization using booby trapped vehicle and in the violent clashes, which took place between both parties, and also as a result the mine explosion planted by the organization earlier in the eastern desert of Homs, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of at least 35 members of the “Islamic State” organization, 5 of them blew themselves up in booby trapped vehicles, as well as the injury of tens of members of both parties in these clashes, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also learned that the “Islamic State” organization was able during its attack on Hmimeh area -located at the administrative border between Homs and Deir Ezzor- to pull several bodies of the gunmen loyal to the regime of Syrian and non-Syrian nationality, where it deployed at least 6 bodies in al-Bukamal city at the Syrian-Iraqi border, which is controlled by the organization, in an attempt to prove its offensive strength to its supporters and residents of areas, following its successive defeats in the provinces of Al-Raqqah, Aleppo, Hama and Homs.

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 19th of July 2017 that it observed that the “Islamic State” organization hung several bodies in several villages at the countryside of Deir Ezzor and in the details documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the “Islamic State” organization and in conjunction with its execution for 3 members of the regime forces at al-Fayha’a Square in al-Bokamal city in the countryside of Deir Ezzor by knives and then crucifying them, it spread the bodies of 5 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian nationality, and crucified them at the bridges of Salhiya village, Abbas village, Train Station in Hasrat village, and in the roundabout of al-Sekkariyyeh village and the entrance of al-Jala’a town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, one body was crucified in each area while those who were executed were crucified in al-Bokamal city.

 

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the members who were executed by the organization were captured within the last 24 hours in the area of Wadi Al-Wa’er and its Dam on the administrative border between the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and the countryside of Homs near the Syrian-Iraqi border, also the five dead bodies were taken from the same place, where the organized carried out this attack on the area to show its presence and strength, and to send a message to the public opinion and to its supporters that it is still capable of carrying out attacks that will kill and injurie members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
