The fighting continues in the barren mountains of Qalamoun with raids by warplanes near the border with Lebanon

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: regime forces shelled areas in Maghar Al-Meer town and the farms of Beit Jinn town, which are located in the south-west of Rif Dimashq, which caused material damage, but no information about casualties, clashes also took place between regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on one hand, and the members of ISIS on the other, in areas in the same countryside.

On the other hand, the warplanes carried out raids which targeted areas controlled by ISIS in the barren mountains of the Western Qalamoun, at the Syrian-Lebanese border, in conjunction with violent clashes between regime forces and gunmen loyal to them and the Lebanese Hezbollah on one hand, and the members of ISIS on the other, in areas in the barren mountains of Qara and Al-Jarajir , amid exchange of shelling on the clash areas, where regime forces and Hezbollah managed to control more heights, hills and positions of which used to be controlled by the organization, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Wednesday that regime forces managed with the help of Hezbollah to achieve new advancement in tens of square kilometers, where they took the control of the areas of She’bet Al-Sabwa, Zaleel Khomam, She’bet Bait Abu-Ali, She’bet Al-Haritha, She’bet Wadi Al-Njjas, She’bet Jib Khawla, Shomays Height and other areas used to be controlled by the organization, within a distant of 120 km area of which was controlled by the organization before starting the attack by regime forces 3 days ago.

Also the SOHR published on Tuesday that the clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling by regime forces on the clash areas amid bombing by drones, carried out by the members of Hezbollah on the positions and fortifications of ISIS, warplanes also carried out several raids on the barren mountains of the Western Qalamoun, and within the new areas that controlled by Hezbollah and regime forces, they are Qarnat She’bet Akku, Qarnat Ajloun, Wadi Al-Shahout, She’bet Al-Dawab, Al-Qsirah and Tem El-Mal and other areas in the barren mountains of Qalamoun near the border with the Lebanese territory.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published the day before yesterday that the shelling continue between the regime forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, on areas in the barren mountains of the Western Qalamoun, at the Syrian-Lebanese border, where the clashes started as a result of an attack by the regime forces and Hezbollah in the areas, in an attempt to end the presence of the “Islamic State” organization in the area, SOHR observed that Hezbollah and the regime forces managed to advance in large number of points, hills and positions which were under the control of the organization, regaining the control of tens of square kilometers out of about 120 square kilometers were controlled by the organization before the attack started, and the clashes were accompanied by intensive missile and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas, the clashes caused casualties and injuries in the ranks of the both parties, and the regime forces managed to regain some areas such as Al-Zamrani Crossing and heights in the barren mountains of Bureij, the barren mountains Al-Jarajir, the barren mountains of Qara, and the heights of Fikha and its Crossing.
