The fire broke out in different areas in Koniko gas field areas east of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: explosions rocked areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor city, that were resulted from shelling of warplanes, whether they are Russian or belong to the regime is not known, and these warplanes targeted areas in the city of al-Mayadeen, which is the capital of Wilayet al-Khair, and there is no information about causalities so far, while fire broke out in Koniko gas field, and the SOHR hasn’t received information so far whether this fire is caused by burning the oil fields by the organization or burning holes filled with oil to confuse the warplanes and surveillance aircraft.  The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 19th of September 2017 that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the flames have been raging for more than three hours in the largest gas field in Syria, the Koniko gas field, of which the regime forces are about 5 km away and the Syria Democratic Forces are about 13 km away east of Euphrates river in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, but no information yet about the causes of these fires.
