At least 12 fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions were killed in the northern countryside of Hama

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that violent clashes are still taking place between the regime forces supported by the their loyal gunmen against fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in the northeastern countryside of Hama, and the violent clashes are accompanied with hit-and-run operations and exchange of control between both parties, where the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were able to advance and controlled al-Msherfeh area and points in the vicinity of Abu Dali village and the outskirts if the areas of Al-Qahera and Tallat al-Sawda, before the regime forces return and retake most of them, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the factions started a new preliminary shelling targeting areas controlled by the regime forces in Al-Qahera, Shatha, Abu Dali and Tallat al-Sawda, in an attempt to carry out that may enable them to achieve an advancement in these areas.

This fight is accompanied by intense and heavy shelling by the regime forces, the factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, as well as raids by warplanes on the clash areas, causing casualties among both parties, where the Syrian Observatory documented the death of at least 12 fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and its supporting factions in the clashes on this front since the dawn of Friday the 6th of October 2017, while several members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them were killed in the same clashes.

It worth mentioning that this battle of the last attempt, comes in an effort by the factions to achieve advancement in the area and take the control of the villages which close the distance between them and the strategic mountain of Zayn Al-Abidin and Hama city, while this battle comes after preparations lasted for days in which Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham intended to tell the citizens in the villages in the far southern countryside of Idlib and the north-eastern countryside of Hama, to leave their houses to avoid the intensive shelling which will be carried out on the area if the operation starts, thus, the area witnessed a displacement movement during the past days to villages far from the areas of this military operation, while Hama province witnessed months ago violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, in which they managed to take the control of a large number of villages and towns, under a cover of intensive shelling, then the regime forces came and retook the control on the whole areas they lost.
