The negotiations achieve their objectives…ISIS starts to withdraw from 2 villages in the far of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the Syria Democratic Forces managed to advance in the countryside of Al-Sewar city in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, near the administrative border with the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the advancement of the SDF that is accompanied by sweeping the area, comes with the withdrawal of the “Islamic State” organization, from 2 villages at least, amid consecutive withdrawals from other villages, as a part of the first results of the negotiations between dignitaries in the east of Deir Ezzor area and the “Islamic State” organization, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information that the organization withdrew from other villages and towns.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had received reliable information on the 22nd of October, from a number of sources which confirmed that there are mediation between dignitaries from the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and ISIS to convince the latter to hand over, to the SDF, villages, towns and the remaining areas from Khesham area to Hajin town, and area of about 110 kilometers from the eastern banks of the Euphrates, in addition to the whole area remained in the northern and northeastern countryside, which is extended to the countryside Al-Sewar town. And the sources asserted that ISIS prefer handing over the organization-held areas to the SDF instead of handing them over to “the Shiite Militia”, in order to prevent the regime forces from advancing towards these area, and in this case, it is expected that the regime forces will move their military operation to the area of Al-Bukamal and nearby village in its countryside and the western banks of the Euphrates River in order to control these areas.

The regime forces managed to achieve advancement in the western banks of the Euphrates River, after they took the control of a city in the east of the Euphrates River opposite Al-Mayadin city, on the 14th of October 2017, in which they started on Sunday morning the 22nd of October 2017, a violent attack during which they headed to the east of Al-Mayadin, and managed to take the control of Al-Quriyah town, adjacent Mahkan town which the regime forces controlled following their control on Al-Mayadin city, and this control came after intensive aerial and artillery shelling on areas in Al-Quriyah, which resulted in further destruction to the infrastructure, the public utilities, and the property of the citizens, and no information about casualties was reported yet, in the ranks of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities or the ranks of the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in which this control and the advancement by the regime forces in the western bank of the Euphrates River, followed by advancement achieved by the Syria Democratic Forces, in which they entered Al-Omar oilfield and took the control of it, after a counter attack by ISIS, that kept the regime forces away of the outskirts and the vicinity of the field.
