In a renewed effort to expand its control and after the death of about 50 of its members, ISIS attacks areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and the factions in the countryside of Idlib

Idlib Province, the Syrian Observatory for human rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the continuation of violent clashes since dawn of today, Sunday, the 11th of February 2018, where violent clashes are taking place between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, after a violent attack by members of the Organization, who are seeking to expand the Organization’s controlled areas in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, by advancing from the areas of al-Lwibdeh and Um al-Khalakhil at the expense of the factions operating in the countryside of Idlib, after being given a passage by the regime forces from the areas it retreated from in the northeastern and southern countryside of Aleppo to the southeastern countryside of Idlib, in exchange of its withdrawal from more than 80 villages, and intense attacks are accompanied by exchange of shelling in the contact areas between both parties, and confirmed information about more casualties in their ranks.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented yesterday, Saturday, the 10th of February 2018, the death of about 50 members of the “Islamic State” Organization, who were killed in the past few hours in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, they are 15 members were killed in clashes against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the factions, and 32 were killed in clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, where the Syrian observatory published hours ago that after the loss of more than 80 villages by the “Islamic State” organization in the besieged enclave in Idlib and Hama provinces, and its withdrawal of it to be controlled by the regime forces with their allies in exchange of granting ISIS a corridor to the southeastern section of Idlib province, and after series of clashes against Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the working factions of Idlib countryside, a group of “Islamic State” organization clashed with the regime forces during its arrival to the southeastern countryside of Idlib and after its withdrawal from the northeastern and southern countryside of Aleppo, to the clash with the regime forces and its allies in the southeastern sector adjacent to the areas in which ISIS has rearranged its ranks, where a group of ISIS attacked the regime forces in places between ISIS-controlled area and the strategic area of Abu Dali (for the regime).

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that the violent clashes, shelling and exchange of targeting in the clashes between the “Islamic State” group and members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them; have caused significant casualties in the ranks of the Organization, where 32 members of the organization at least were killed and others were injured, amid information about more human casualties in its ranks, in addition to information about human losses in the ranks of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
