Hit-and-run clashes southeast of Rif Dimashq between the regime forces and International Coalition-backed factions

Clashes are still taking place between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against the factions of Jaish Usud al-Sharqiyyah, Ahmad al-Abdu Forces in areas in the southeastern Rif Dimashq, and the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of Rajm al-Sarikhi area, which the regime forces had advanced to, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that hit-and-run battles are taking place between both parties, in an attempt by the regime forces to hold control of the points in the areas they advanced to, while the factions seek to repel the advance of the regime forces, which began from Be’er al-Qasab area, and the clashes are accompanied by an exchange of shelling between both parties, and no information about human losses so far.

The last days witnessed attempts by the factions to regain control over Be’er al-Qasab area, which the factions seized from the “Islamic State” organization in late March 2017, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to control the area of Be’er al-Qasab through its attack which started two weeks ago and managed to control several areas and hills, advancing from Al-Dumayr base and its vicinity.
