2 massacres by aerial and rocket shelling in Douma raise to 560 persons including 216 children and women the number of people killed by the regime forces and their allies in 9 consecutive days in the Eastern Ghouta

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the regime forces returned to carry out an other massacre in Douma city, the stronghold of Jaysh Al-Islam in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, where the city was targeted by several missiles, which resulted in the fall of a massacre leaving 7 casualties at least, while others were injured with varying severity, while the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, raising to 31 casualties whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory as a result of shelling by the regime forces and warplanes on cities and towns in the besieged Ghouta, and the casualties are 17 citizens including 4 children and a woman who were killed on Monday in the aerial and rocket shelling on Douma and Harasta, and 14 citizens including 4 children and 3 women were killed in the aerial and rocket shelling on towns and cities of Al-Rihan, Al-Shiffuniyya, Douma, Saqba, Beit Sawa and Hamouriyah, and the shelling resulted in the fall of tens of wounded with varying severity, although the pace of shelling and killing in the Eastern Ghouta decreased than it was during the seven bloody days from the 18th of February 2018 until the 24th of the same month, and the bodies of 3 citizens including a woman, were extracted from the rubble of destruction caused by shelling two days ago on Hazza town.

Raising to 556 citizens including 136 children and 80 women, the number of the civilian casualties who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling and bombardment by explosive barrels on the Eastern Ghouta, since Sunday evening the 18th of February 2018, and the casualties are: 17 citizens including 4 children and a woman who were killed on Monday in the aerial and rocket shelling on Douma and Harasta, 14 citizens including 4 children under the age of eighteen and 3 women were killed today, Sunday, in shelling by the regime forces and bombardment by warplanes on areas in Douma, al-Shifonyyah, Saqba, Beit Sawa, Hammuriyyeh and al-Rihan, and 45 citizens including 8 children under the age of eighteen, and 9 women were killed on Saturday by bombardment by warplanes on Harasta, Douma, Zamalka, Beit Sawa and Al-Shifonyyah, 43 citizens including 18 children and 4 women were killed on Friday, 73 citizens including 9 children and 8 citizen women who were killed on Thursday in bombardment by warplanes on areas in Mesraba and Aftries towns and Douma and Arbin cities, 87 citizens including 21 children and 12 women, were killed on Wednesday in bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on Kafr Batna town and airstrikes on Jesrin town and raids on Saqba, 133 citizens including 33 children and 17 women were killed on Tuesday, in the shelling on the areas of Nashabiyah, Otaya, Arbin, Zamalka Mesraba, Hamuriya, Saqba and Ash’ari, 127 citizens including 34 children and 23 women were killed on Monday, in the aerial and ground bombardment on Hamuriya, Beit Sawa and Saqba, Douma , Mesraba, Otaya, Nashabiyah, Zamalka, Aftries, KafrBatna, Al-Shifonyyah and Jesrin, 17 citizens including 5 children and 3 women were killed on the evening of Sunday, while the aerial and artillery shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of injuries, some of them are still in serious cases, which may raise the death toll.
