The warplanes carry out more raids on the south of Idlib amid fears of wider displacement after tens of families fled from their villages in Aleppo and Idlib countryside for fear of expanding the bombardment

This escalated bombardment was accompanied by sporadic artillery shelling which targeted areas in the triangle of Sahl al-Ghab – northern countryside of Lattakia – west Idlib, as well as other places of the truce areas, it also targeted in the past few hours, areas in the south-western countryside of Aleppo, where the bombardment resulted in the displacement of tens of families, in addition to confusion among the locals, for fear of escalating the shelling or bombing the area by warplanes, which may cause a larger displacement movement in the area, after the Syrian Observatory monitored in the past few hours, a proactive displacement of villagers who live in the contact lines with regime forces’-controlled areas in the southeastern countryside of Idlib, and in the details monitored by the Syrian Observatory: about 1000 people within 180 families have been displacing since yesterday night, Wednesday, the 5th of September 2018, from their villages southeast of Idlib to areas in the western countryside of Aleppo and to Afrin city and its countryside, which are under the control of “Olive Branch” factions, also the Syrian Observatory monitored another movement from Maarrat al-Nu’man city and its countryside towards the border with Turkey; in particular to the camps located in the area, these pre-emptive displacements come within the framework of the grand battle of Idlib of which the regime forces and their allies are preparing.

This displacement comes after the regime forces intensified their shelling and expanded it in the areas of the Russian – Turkish truce in its 23rd consecutive day, after the Russian raids that killed 13 citizens and wounded tens of others in the triangle west Idlib – Lattakia Mountain – Sahl al-Ghab, where the Syrian Observatory published last night that Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the regime forces returned to carry out a new round of shelling, violating the Russian – Turkish truce along with completing the 22nd day of its validity, where the SOHR monitored escalated intensive shelling by the regime forces which targeted areas in Al-Hbit town and its vicinity, in the southern countryside of Idlib, the SOHR also monitored shelling by the regime forces which targeted places in Al-Sirmaniyah area, at the administrative border between Idlib and Hama provinces, in conjunction with artillery and rocket shelling by the regime forces, which targeted areas in Kabanah, Jabal al-Khudr and Al-Haddadah area, as well as other areas in Jabal Al-Turkman, in the northern countryside of Latakia, amid targeting to the roads between the northern mountains of Lattakia, and the area of Jisr Al-Shughur in the western sector of Idlib countryside, also, the regime forces shelled areas in Al-Lataminah town and other areas in Al-Sakhr village in the northern countryside of Hama, while the area of Marj Al-Zohur in Jisr Al-Shughur countryside and places in Srarif village in the western countryside of Idlib, as well as other places in Zayzun and Qastun in Sahl Al-Ghab, were shelled, which caused further destruction and material damage to the property of the citizens, while the Syrian Observatory monitored the fall of missiles fired by the factions operating in Idlib countryside, on the controlled areas of the regime forces in Sahl Al-Ghab and its vicinity near Lattakia countryside, which caused material damage, without information about casualties.
