Ankara-backed factions kill olive oil merchant in Ma’abatli area in rural Afrin, northwest Aleppo

SOHR sources report that the body of a resident of the village of Atmana, works as olive oil merchant, in Raju district, was found lying on a hillside surrounding the village of Hassa/Mirkan in Ma’abati district in the countryside of Afrin, northwest of Aleppo.

His body was found after being kidnapped by unidentified gunmen. According to Syrian Observatory sources, his body was found bearing traces of brutal torture, without knowing the causes and motives of the crime. The victim was previously abducted in the “Kali Tirra” area by al-Hamzat Brigade on his way back from Afrin to his home in the village, where his relatives were then asked for $500,000, and released on the same day, to be kidnapped just three days after his release.
