Daraa’s security chaos: the number of attacks and assassination attempts rise to more than 300 in seven months and a half

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Attacks, targeting and assassinations continue increasingly throughout Daraa governorate without any reaction from regime forces and loyalist militias to limit these operations.

SOHR sources report that regime military security headquarters was targeted in the city of Al-Sanamin with an improvised explosive device, leaving injuries, and destroying part of the building.

Unidentified gunmen also targeted regime security services’ informant gunman on Al-Sanamin-Qitta road, north of Daraa.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 301 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period increases to 192 persons, 36 of whom are civilians, including four women and three children, in addition to 100 members of regime forces, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

33 members of opposition faction who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime, and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
