Afrin violations: Ankara-backed factions arrest ten civilians in Rajo and Bulbul villages for unknown reasons

Aleppo Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Ankara-backed factions, operating in Afrin and countryside in north-western rural Aleppo, continue their abuses against the people of the area who refused to be displaced, in an attempt by those factions to ultimately force them out of their areas.

Reliable source informed SOHR that armed factions abducted more than ten civilians in the past 48 hours in villages belonging to Bulbul and Rajo districts in rural Afrin. No information was reported to date on the reasons for the arrest, and were taken to an unknown destination.

Yesterday, SOHR sources have reported that Turkish-backed “Northern Hawks” faction has forced local residents in the villages of Qazalbash and Bilan to pay money to the “courthouse”, which belongs to the factions, in Raju district under arrest threat if the residents refuse to pay the amounts requested.

Members of the same faction force civilians to pruning olive trees and vineyards and using their tractors to transport firewood from the bushes and orchards owned by the faction leader for free.
