Military police kill a leader of the Turkish-backed factions and security alert prevails Afrin

Aleppo Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a leader of the Turkish-backed Sultan Murad squad was shot dead by military police today but no information about the reasons, where Afrin city is witnessing a security alert and the spread of Turkish-backed factions and military police.

In the same context, an explosion was heard in al-Bab city east of Aleppo, it was caused by a grenade explosion thrown by unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle on the agricultural bank checkpoint, but no information about casualties so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored on the 20th of February 2020 that clashes took place with machineguns between members of the Turkish-backed factions today, on the road connecting the villages of Sekkariyyeh Kabira and Jub Samaan in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.

According to sources of the Syrian Observatory, members of Ahrar al-Sham attacked other members of “Jaysh al-Ahfad”, after a dispute over sheep smuggling to areas controlled by the Kurdish forces north of Aleppo, during which at least two members of Jaysh al-Ahfad were killed and others on both parties were wounded.
